Curaçao rental opportunities
Whether you’re looking for a luxury Curaçao rental opportunity in real estate, cars, boats or even planes; there are plenty of expert companies on the island of Curaçao to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. The two most popular Curaçao rentals are for cars to drive around the island in and, in the real estate market, houses suitable for people wanting to take an extended break on Curaçao. Needless to say diving equipment rentals are quite big business on the island as too are boat rentals, bicycle and even motor-bike rentals.
Curaçao real estate rentals
Curaçao is the largest of the Netherlands
Antilles islands and so has plenty of real estate rental opportnities. Whilst you can get a Curaçao real estate rental for a regular or even short-term vacation, many people want to rent Curaçao houses and apartments for an extended stay. A Curaçao rental for a year would be an ideal way to spend that tax-break year your accountant’s always trying to make you take; or alternatively if you’re able to have a prolonged break away from work Curaçao is a great place just to get away from it all. Occasionally writers are known to take extended Curaçao rentals in real estate on the island – possibly hoping to get that special burst of creativity like Ian Fleming did at Goldeneye in Jamaica. The same as anywhere Curaçao real estate rental prices vary according to where the real estate is and the type of accommodation. However, as a rule of thumb you can get a small two bedroom Curaçao rental for an incredible $750 a month or an apartment for just $500. Curaçao real estate rentals are available as new builds and some of the Old Dutch colonial plantation mansions are being restored to offer rental accommodation for 10 or more people. Whilst a three bedroom newly built property can be rented for under $1000 a month a classically restored older and larger one could command up to $15,000 a month.
Curaçao car rentals
Despite being less than 40 miles long and 10 miles wide, having your own Curaçao car rental is an ideal way to fully explore the island. If you’re on the island to take advantage of the great Curaçao diving opportunities too – then having a car rental is probably essential if you want to explore all the great diving and snorkeling venues along the island of Curaçao coast. Curaçao car rental deals can be arranged on a daily or weekly basis; and you can always ask about special discounts for monthly Curaçao rental deals if you’re going to be on the island for an extended stay. With the usual international car rental companies on the island as well as a few local ones there’s plenty of choice in the type and size of auto you can hire. Small hatchbacks start at $40 a day or $200 for a week, rising to $100 a day and $600 a week for a large luxury car. Twelve seat vans can be hired at Curaçao rental rates of around $80 a day and $500 for a week. Those of you that need to carry your diving gear and possibly need some ‘off-road’ capability in your auto rental; you can get something like a Toyota RAV4 Jeep for $65 a day, or around $450 for the week.
Other Curaçao rentals
With airlines seemingly for ever increasing excess baggage charges, the idea of taking all your own diving gear to Curaçao is not really a possibility. With numerous diving schools on the island of Curaçao just about all of them can arrange for you to rent anything you’re likely to need. Whilst you’ll invariably take your own wet-suits, regulators and dive-computers; Curaçao rental prices for seven days of tanks, air and weights start at around $125, or for nitrox about $225. The dive schools will also probably get you the best rates on Curaçao rental boats, if you want to explore away from the coast line.
